Communion

Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of each month during 9:15am worship.
Schedule is subject to change.

We believe Communion, also known as the Eucharist or Lord's Supper, is an opportunity to come before God in penitence and hope for God's grace in our lives.  Any and all are invited into Christ's communion.  Therefore, our communion table is open to all who believe in Jesus Christ, truly repent of their sins and seek to live in Christ's guidance, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or church membership. You do not have to be a United Methodist or a member of Hope Church  to partake in communion.

We receive Communion by intinction, a fancy way to say "dipping".  A piece of the communal loaf is torn off and dipped into to chalice.  We understand also the limitations addiction can place on some, so our communion is served with grape juice, not wine.

During Communion any are invited to the kneeler railing for prayer and reflection, regardless of whether you wish to receive communion.

If you are unable to come forward for communion, it will be served to you at your seat.  Please notify an usher of this need.
